2015 Nissan Altima Defective Air Bag Sensor Investigation

Migliaccio & Rathod LLP is currently investigating 2015 Nissan Altimas for defective air bag sensors that fail to detect when there is an occupant in the front passenger seat. Failure of the occupant classification system (“OCS”) to actuate when there is a passenger seated could result in serious injuries in the event of a crash, since the air bags would not deploy and thus fail to properly protect the passenger. Nissan has issued multiple recalls to address the issues with its OCS, but despite reprogramming the OCS in affected vehicles, the issue remained after the repair.
